Zone Conferences

 Monday May 9, 2022

This past week was great. I feel like Zone Conference went well. It's always fun training the missionaries and seeking revelation for what the mission needs. I have enjoyed my time in doing that. We also had that miracle this week of just walking in an apartment complex late at night. A whole family of 6 was outside and turns out the mom had had book of Mormon reads with missionaries like 10 years ago. Then her son mentioned that he had always wanted to read the Book of Mormon. We then explained to them what it was and they loved it. They ended up setting up a return appointment with us so it was really cool! The spirit was super strong in that moment and we walked away with a huge "drive home feeling". Moments like those are the times that missionary work is the best. It's hard to have those experiences and not know that God is in the details. Overall this past week was good and am excited for the next with all the exchanges coming up!

For the spiritual experience of the week it was during a lesson we had with a member. The member was going through a really hard time in his life. He was just about to graduate but was struggling on what decision to make next. He was noticeably discouraged and so we needed to change our lesson plan in the middle of the lesson. We felt inspired to speak about the healing power of gratitude. We watched the video from President Nelson and thought on it. We then took time for each of us to write down things we're grateful for. The spirit was in the room, and I think it helped the person we were teaching out a lot. Being more grateful definitely helps us get our minds in the right spot.

I'm supposed to have more pictures, but they haven't been sent to me yet so I'll put them in next week.
