Miracle in Miami

This week was really good! We went on a few exchanges and had great experiences. One of our friends is getting closer and closer to baptism. His name is Alex. Our other friend Davide is progressing a lot too. It's crazy because when we first started meeting with Davide he really didn't care much and now we are starting to read the Book of Mormon with him every appointment and he is starting to smile and laugh and just seems brighter. He definitely is being changed by the spirit and by the Book of Mormon. We had many friends come to the Devotional of President Nelson. I hope they had a good experience. It was a great week!

For the spiritual experience/miracle of the week it was when I was on exchanges with Elder Medrano. We were walking along a street and noticed a guy at the 2nd story. We spoke with him and eventually started talking about religion. Turns out that in the past missionaries came by and would speak to his girlfriend but he would be in and out. We then transitioned into the Book of Mormon and he then told us that he has one and is reading it. He says whenever he feels down or needs some lift he goes to the Book of Mormon and just reads. He didn't even know what it was and he was reading it! We then explained to him what the book of Mormon was. The rest of the conversation we were telling him that it was the spirit he was feeling when he was reading. We helped him recognize that he had a spiritual experience. It was a great contact! We were able to get his number and he was more than welcoming to have the Elders come back. Pretty cool miracle for the week!

 Monday October 12, 2020 Hello everyone! How's it goin? Everything here in Mesa is going well. This week went by really quick and I can't remember everything that happened. I'll start off with our "amigos". I'm pretty sure I've already told you guys about Martha and how we have her on date for baptism. Basically she is still going strong and we don't need to do much with her other than just meet with her every other day to keep her on track. We just go over a few simple things every now and then. Then with Gerardo he is still iffy. He still hasn't accepted baptism, but he's getting closer. We're teaching him the commandments to let him know what exactly he needs to keep and also we're bringing members from our branch to make friends with him so that he is more comfortable. Forgive and Forget!

 Monday January 18, 2021 Hello everyone!! I hope your week is going great! My week has been fabulous. The Vargas family that randomly came to Church last week are doing great! We had 2 lessons with them this week and they are so eager to learn! They read the Book of Mormon a lot and are so prepared. They have a few Word of Wisdom problems but I don't think they will have any trouble with that. They also have told us that they are planning on getting married, but they want it to be a memorable event so they want to plan well. They are so ready to partake in this gospel and it's actually crazy. They basically are members already. They are the nicest and most sincere people you will ever meet.  Another miracle happened this week!! Another non member just walked into Church!! It's actually crazy the miracles and blessings God is giving us here. So yesterday we had dinner with a family, and the non member that walked into church was there!!
