God is placing people in our path!

This week was a great week. We found many people to teach and had some great miracles. Our friends are progressing somewhat. We are working with many and they are slowly moving along, but nonetheless they are progressing. We had a cool miracle this past week. We were in an apartment complex and we only had 5 minutes before we had to run to a lesson. We saw a young man and knew we had to speak to him. We spoke to him and it turns out that he had spoken to missionaries a few years back. He has the Book of Mormon 1/4 the way through and wants to get back into it. We asked him if he wanted to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he said yes. That was awesome. It was a pretty cool miracle that we had with him! God is placing people in our path! This was a great week!

For the spiritual experience of the week it was during a lesson we had with a friend. Elder Wilding had found someone on his exchanges and he happened to be a YSA in our area. Elder Salvador and I decided to go by during the day and see if we could catch him. Sure enough he was outside and we get to talking about him and his passions. Then about 10 minutes into the conversation he asked us what we were there for and so we explained our purpose as missionaries and then asked him about his beliefs. We asked him if he prays, which he does, if he goes to church, he does not. We then asked him if he studied scriptures and he said "no, but do you have some for me?" Elder Salvador and I basically froze because we didn't see that one coming haha. We said of course and explained to him what the Book of Mormon was. We taught him about Joseph Smith and shared the first vision. The spirit was strong and this friend was intently listening. You could tell his mind was spinning. We then go on to explain it further and help him see how the Book of Mormon could help. We then asked him if he thought the Book of Mormon would help him, and he said he thought it genuinely would! Towards the end of the conversation he was thanking us for coming and invited us over to come by again. It was cool to see how the message of the Restoration can allow someone to have a powerful spiritual experience and completely change his view on church and the gospel taught by Jesus Christ.
