Zone Conference

This week has been great! We had Zone Conference so we were busy as usual. We gave a training on how to teach simply and we're hoping the mission will be able to do that! We went on only 2 exchanges this week. They were great though! One was a full day and the other was just a few hours. Elder Bird and I are finding a bunch, but struggling to get return appointments so that's our biggest hurdle. But other than that missionary work is great! I love the people and there are some amazing dudes we've met recently! 

For the spiritual experience this week it was when I was praying. I shared this story in my recent Facebook post describing how I felt the strength of the Lord. I was thinking about some things that I've done in my past and I was weighed down a bit. I'm definitely short of perfect, and I realized that and I wish I had done some things differently earlier in my life. So I wanted to get rid of these feelings and have joy restored to me, so I did what I thought was best and I prayed. As I prayed I asked for peace, comfort and clarity. As I did I immediately felt those blessings become mine. I was then able to go throughout the rest of the day feeling better and able to do things that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to do without God allowing me to feel of his power and strength. Jesus Christ does have power to deliver us and strengthen us.

 Monday October 12, 2020 Hello everyone! How's it goin? Everything here in Mesa is going well. This week went by really quick and I can't remember everything that happened. I'll start off with our "amigos". I'm pretty sure I've already told you guys about Martha and how we have her on date for baptism. Basically she is still going strong and we don't need to do much with her other than just meet with her every other day to keep her on track. We just go over a few simple things every now and then. Then with Gerardo he is still iffy. He still hasn't accepted baptism, but he's getting closer. We're teaching him the commandments to let him know what exactly he needs to keep and also we're bringing members from our branch to make friends with him so that he is more comfortable. Forgive and Forget!

 Monday January 18, 2021 Hello everyone!! I hope your week is going great! My week has been fabulous. The Vargas family that randomly came to Church last week are doing great! We had 2 lessons with them this week and they are so eager to learn! They read the Book of Mormon a lot and are so prepared. They have a few Word of Wisdom problems but I don't think they will have any trouble with that. They also have told us that they are planning on getting married, but they want it to be a memorable event so they want to plan well. They are so ready to partake in this gospel and it's actually crazy. They basically are members already. They are the nicest and most sincere people you will ever meet.  Another miracle happened this week!! Another non member just walked into Church!! It's actually crazy the miracles and blessings God is giving us here. So yesterday we had dinner with a family, and the non member that walked into church was there!!
