Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! This week has been a crazy one as well. We had Christmas so that was cool. It was a normal proselyting day besides the fact that we got to have an extra hour of exercise. We also were able to watch a movie after 7pm. We had 4 movies to choose from, and so we watched the witnesses. That was a good movie. We also went on exchanges on the 24th and I went with an Elder named Elder Earl. He's pretty much a wizard with the scriptures. He knows like everything. All of our lessons fell through so that was rough. We ended up just contacting for 8 hours in a row. That was pretty crazy. No dinner and no brakes. That's probably what normal missionary work felt like before Covid haha. Being a YSA missionary is pretty different not gonna lie. We do a ton of street contacting right now because we don't work too much with the YSA since it's the holiday season and a bunch are either out of town or with family anyways. 

There was a guy we found like a little over a week ago. His name is Ethan and he's a stud. He's super logical and needs all the facts. When we first started meeting with him he wasn't super into it. He told us that he only wanted to learn and didn't want to Commit to anything. When he would ask us doctrinal questions we would answer them but then refer to the Book of Mormon and knowing it spiritually. That's pretty much all we did. He would follow all our invitations and things so that was awesome. Then we go into a lesson one day and he had a paper printed out for us laid neatly on his bed. He told us to read it,. (He printed it out and had us read it because he didn't want his dad to hear it or something because his dad is anti I guess). Anyways so the paper basically said that if we could answer one question he'd be willing to baptized. His question was that he wanted to see archeological proof that the Book of Mormon is true. So we did what we had done before. That is to testify and redirect him to find out whether or not it is true spiritually. Long story short he is now on baptismal date for the 15th of January! 

The moral of the story is that you cannot have a testimony of God or anything related to the matter unless you know it spiritually. The idea of a God or a Savior or a 14 year old boy who saw them of course would sound crazy if you aren't willing to make any effort to figure out if they are real. This message is important. And I will tell you the same thing I tell everyone on the street that tries to deny this message and that is this, if there were a God it would probably be important to follow him considering the consequences that are found in the scriptures if we weren't to do so. It would also probably be pretty important to follow his teachings found in his Church on the Earth. There are many churches out there, but only one claims to have divine origin. I think our church is the only church found on the face of the earth that tells you to pray about our message to find out if it is true or not. That is because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth. We know with a surety that if you pray with real intent and with a sincere heart having faith in Christ that you will receive an answer that the Book of Mormon is true, and that this church came forth the way Joseph said it did, and that Christ is at the helm and no man runs it. And to figure this all out all we ask is that people read a book and pray about it, desiring to know the truth, and yet that is one of the hardest things to get people to do, because Satan knows this is true. He does everything he can to prevent people from hearing our message. I know the Book of Mormon to be true and I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church restored. Salvation is on the line and our message is worth anyone's time. Do everything and anything you can to gain this witness!
