Assistant to the Mission President

Elder McMullan didn't email today, but he did call.  We talked for quite a long time before he told me that he was called to be A.P.  ( Assistant to the Mission President)  Crazy, since Tim served as A.P on his mission as well.  Even crazier since out of a few hundred missionaries, there are only 2.  President Andrews told Jackson that he has been impressed with Jackson from the very beginning.  His strong testimony, his work ethic, his extreme faith, his humility and his ability to connect to all Missionaries are just some of the things he mentioned.  Jackson is excited and a tad over whelmed at the idea, but didn't hesitate.  He's excited to get to work closely with and get to know all the missionaries better.  Usually A.P's are called for 4 transfers, but Elder McMullan will be in for over 5 transfers.  (The duration of his mission) He'll have to train a new A.P and he'll also have to train the new Mission President in June.  He and his companion, Elder Bird will have many responsibilities.  They'll be training during every zone conference, teaching the missionaries how to teach, a lot of office work, working closely with the Mission President, running Missionaries all over the place and doing normal missionary work in the Young single Adult ward.  This means he'll no longer be spoiled or fed by the amazing members there!  He will really miss his current ward and stake.  They have been AMAZING.

 Monday October 12, 2020 Hello everyone! How's it goin? Everything here in Mesa is going well. This week went by really quick and I can't remember everything that happened. I'll start off with our "amigos". I'm pretty sure I've already told you guys about Martha and how we have her on date for baptism. Basically she is still going strong and we don't need to do much with her other than just meet with her every other day to keep her on track. We just go over a few simple things every now and then. Then with Gerardo he is still iffy. He still hasn't accepted baptism, but he's getting closer. We're teaching him the commandments to let him know what exactly he needs to keep and also we're bringing members from our branch to make friends with him so that he is more comfortable. Forgive and Forget!

 Monday January 18, 2021 Hello everyone!! I hope your week is going great! My week has been fabulous. The Vargas family that randomly came to Church last week are doing great! We had 2 lessons with them this week and they are so eager to learn! They read the Book of Mormon a lot and are so prepared. They have a few Word of Wisdom problems but I don't think they will have any trouble with that. They also have told us that they are planning on getting married, but they want it to be a memorable event so they want to plan well. They are so ready to partake in this gospel and it's actually crazy. They basically are members already. They are the nicest and most sincere people you will ever meet.  Another miracle happened this week!! Another non member just walked into Church!! It's actually crazy the miracles and blessings God is giving us here. So yesterday we had dinner with a family, and the non member that walked into church was there!!
