Transfers Again

 June 28, 2021

This week is transfers already! This past month and a half has gone by so fast it's nuts. Me and Elder Louie are staying together this next transfer so that's good. Our area is going well. We had a great meeting yesterday with our friend Tom and he opened up about his life and his view on religion and he is seeking forgiveness of his sins. He is so humble and ready to change and be better and to learn. He doesn't know much about our church and our beliefs, but is willing to learn about Christ and his Atonement. Nothing much else happened this week. I'm sure there was I just can't ever remember anything. We work our butts off and visit a lot of people so I don't even know what happened. What I can tell you is that missionary work was done and that good stuff is happening.

Now let's get to the part that actual matters, the spiritual stuff. How awesome is it that we are living in these latter days!? Like it's honestly a privilege. Yes things are hard, but they don't need to be. A member in one of my past areas told us that he never has any bad days, because Christ never made any of those. Christ made us perfectly and gave us the resources we need to be happy. We don't need anything else. He can put trials in our way and make it difficult, but it's all about the perspective we have and our faith and trust in the Lord and God's plan for us.
Alma 37:46 says...
46 O my son, do not let us be slothful because of the easiness of the way; for so was it with our fathers; for so was it prepared for them, that if they would look they might live; even so it is with us. The way is prepared, and if we will look we may live forever
The way to follow Christ is easy, states Alma. The path may be hard while doing so. It's not easy to always choose the good things. It's not always easy to read scriptures when your tired, it's not always easy to get on your knees humbly before the Lord and pray every day, it's not always easy to do as the Lord says when the world says otherwise. But all these things that I've stated are not hard things to do. They are actually quite easy! Whether or not we do the small and simple things is in direct correlation with our faith and trust in our Savior. The one who laid down his life for you and hung on the cross and resurrected for our exaltation, is asking us to do these small things. They are very small, so very small, compared to the price he had to pay. So let's not be slothful in the Gospel, let's not be lazy when it comes to obeying the Lord's commands and the commands of his Prophets. They're just trying to help us. They will never lead us astray. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is awesome!

Thanks for all of your support! Have a great week!
