Trucking along....

Hey Everyone! How was everyone's week! Anything fun going on back home or in school?

I had a good week this week. Nothing too crazy happening. We are still trying to meet with Daniel Rodriguez and Cory Bell. They seem to be fine. Arthur, we got in contact with so that's good. We have a lesson with him this week over zoom! We attended 2 baptisms on Saturday so that was awesome! We went to a concert baptism and then also to an 8 year olds baptism we got invited to. The members name is the Manutai's. They are pretty much the coolest family in the Mesa, Arizona mission. They baptized their daughter in their hot tub in the backyard. It was really neat. It's awesome to see because the spirit is the same no matter where the baptism is. Whether it's in the church or in someone's backyard the same sweet spirit is there.

I was listening to a talk this week and the guy said that Satan can mimic every feeling that the Lord can make us feel. BUT the only feeling satan cannot mimic is peace. I think that really helps us understand what the Gospel brings in our life. The world cannot bring you peace, it may bring you peace for a moment, but Christ can offer you so much more than just a moment, he can offer you an eternity. Take that gift! How much of us actually live what we teach? How much of us are "ALL IN" in the Gospel? If we are not "all in" then we can't experience all of what Christ has to offer. Being on my mission has shown me the importance of living it instead of just knowing it. Living as Christ did, acting as he did, don't ever judge, don't make bad jokes, be respectful always, all these things help us to live the happiest life ever. But how many of us actually do all the things Christ talked about in the Sermon on the mount? Think about that for a second. This Gospel is for real! This isn't something where we just get baptized when we're 8 or whatever age and then forget about it. This should be life changing. I can't explain to you how frustrating it is to see some missionaries not "all the way in". Not even missionaries but even members! Like I want to shake them around and tell them of all the joy and peace and happiness they are really missing out on! This Gospel offers so many things as long as we're obedient to ALL and not just some of Christ's teachings. Live everything that you know how to and I promise that more joy will be on your life.
That's all for me! Take care!
