First Week with the Trainee!!

This first week with the new young lad has been great! He's a stud and ready to work! He has a great attitude and is fitting into the missionary life very well. His name is Elder Adrian Bañuelos. He is always trying to do the right thing so I'm stoked to be with him. 

This week has been good. We are still doing tons of member work and trying to get to know the members and get referrals. We are also trying to focus on part member families a lot now because those seem to be the gold mine. We received a couple referrals this past week! We got one for a guy named Landry Williams. We have not met him but he texted us and said that he is working 2 jobs and won't have time to meet, so we weren't about to let him get off that easy. So we basically sent a text saying like well we know you're busy, but we know the Gospel will bless you and your family. Something along those lines, that was the simplified version of course haha. So he responded and said like thanks so much I will look forward to meeting with you in the near future. We have no idea how near is near but it's ok we hope to teach him. 

We also got a referral from doing church tours. His name is Mitchell and he is super solid. He asked the missionaries questions during the tour and the missionaries that talked with him said that he is super good. So hopefully we can get in contact with him. Other than that we are doing great! Stay close to your Savior Jesus Christ and he will lead you along!! D&C 112:10

 Monday October 12, 2020 Hello everyone! How's it goin? Everything here in Mesa is going well. This week went by really quick and I can't remember everything that happened. I'll start off with our "amigos". I'm pretty sure I've already told you guys about Martha and how we have her on date for baptism. Basically she is still going strong and we don't need to do much with her other than just meet with her every other day to keep her on track. We just go over a few simple things every now and then. Then with Gerardo he is still iffy. He still hasn't accepted baptism, but he's getting closer. We're teaching him the commandments to let him know what exactly he needs to keep and also we're bringing members from our branch to make friends with him so that he is more comfortable. Forgive and Forget!

 Monday January 18, 2021 Hello everyone!! I hope your week is going great! My week has been fabulous. The Vargas family that randomly came to Church last week are doing great! We had 2 lessons with them this week and they are so eager to learn! They read the Book of Mormon a lot and are so prepared. They have a few Word of Wisdom problems but I don't think they will have any trouble with that. They also have told us that they are planning on getting married, but they want it to be a memorable event so they want to plan well. They are so ready to partake in this gospel and it's actually crazy. They basically are members already. They are the nicest and most sincere people you will ever meet.  Another miracle happened this week!! Another non member just walked into Church!! It's actually crazy the miracles and blessings God is giving us here. So yesterday we had dinner with a family, and the non member that walked into church was there!!
